Thames Valley Police

A new £4.3m fitness and personal safety training centre built for Thames Valley Police at Sulhamstead, Berkshire. Our in house TEKLA designers customised, developed and delivered BIM compliant model of the windows and doors, which was then incorporated into the overall coordination model. Working closely with Jacobs of London and in combination with the model data of the structural engineer, we were able to generate new product families for the system supplier and then utilise these components to form the elliptically faceted structure Working closely with the design team we were able to establish and implement a complex cross ventilation and stack system to provide the client with the thermal heating and cooling that was needed to satisfy this mutli purpose structure. Being a Police facility security was also of importance and we were able to provide a secured by design compliant window application.
